ChangeBASE commences Migration Project with Global Financial Organisation

Ben Cook, Senior Technical Trainer & Consultant at ChangeBASE, was invited to the United States last week for a training and implementation session with one of our newest clients, a global financial services organisation. Moving from Windows XP Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 6 to Windows 7 64-bit and Internet Explorer 8, this latest project includes AOK Fix-It, AOK Browse-It, AOK Virtualise-It and AOK QA-It technologies on top of the automated application format conversion and testing which constitute the basis of the AOK Workbench. This choice is not surprising given the time and resource it would take to migrate the organisation’s 2000 applications and 85,000 client machines, not to mention the risk involved should application functionality unexpectedly fail on the new platform.

Ben’s visit included two days’ training and two days spent implementing the AOK Workbench on-site, and the team are looking forward to getting their migration project underway. The organisation explained that one of the reasons for choosing ChangeBASE over its competitors was its ability to offer custom reporting, thanks to the open database schema.

ChangeBASE would like to wish this latest client all the best, happy in the knowledge that AOK software is helping to taking the pain out of their migration project.
